Make Room

As part of fulfilling the mission of Destiny: to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World, this year, 2025, we are embarking on a 3-year campaign to construct a Family Life Center facility building expansion, upgrade our youth and children’s ministry spaces, and gather resources for additional church planting. This is an ambitious goal, but we are convinced of God’s direction and His commitment to help us reach this target.


We have prayerfully titled this endeavor Make Room, taking inspiration from Mark 2:4:

“And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the rom above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.” Our intention when building a Family Life Center with a gymnasium, meeting space, workout areas, and new youth meeting space will allow creative outreach to take place. Just as the paralytic man’s friends creatively exposed him to Jesus, we will utilize this new space to reach out to the unchurched community, while also serving our church membership.


It is an exciting time in the life of Destiny as our church continues to grow and reach more people for Jesus! We invite you to pray about how you can get involved in what God is leading us to do through this campaign.

Our church has always been a place of refuge, restoration, and renewal, and as our congregation and outreach grow, so must our space and resources. Make Room is more than a building initiative – it is a commitment to the future of our ministry, ensuring that we can worship without limits, disciple without barriers, and serve without restrictions.

Our History

Destiny Christian Center International, a non-denominational spirit-filled Christian church, was founded by Pastor Keith O’Neal in 2006.

  • Founding
    2006

    Destiny Christian Center International, a non-denominational spirit-filled Christian church, was founded by Pastor Keith O’Neal in 2006 and eight individuals who met in his living room for worship and fellowship.


    At that time, God granted Pastor Keith a vision inspired by one of Destiny’s foundational Scriptures, 1 Samuel 22:1-2.


    The first service was held on January 22, 2006 at the Muncie YWCA with approximately 75 people in attendance. Many friends and well-wishers attended the first service, and the church began regular services the following Sunday with about 35 people and steady growth followed. It wasn’t long until the church moved to 3450 N. Broadway, a former physical fitness center, in November of 2006.

  • 2nd Service & Additional Property
    2008

    Rapid growth prompted the addition of a 2nd service in July of 2008.


    During this time, an additional property, now the Muncie Mission Attic Window, was gifted to Destiny.

  • Move to Centennial Ave.
    2009

    In June of 2009, Destiny purchased 22.35 acres, including a baseball diamond, basketball court, and a 12,000 square foot building. After three months of renovations, the first service was held in the new location on September 20, 2009.


    And the church continued to grow.

  • Children’s Wing Addition
    2010

    Construction of a children’s wing was initiated after just five months in the new location. The children’s wing was completed in 2010, expanding Destiny’s building by 4,000 square feet.

  • Continued Expansion
    2015

    In the summer of 2015, another building expansion was initiated due to the continued growth of the ministry. Parking areas were expanded to accommodate the growing needs. Approximately 6,000 square feet of sanctuary, offices, and multi-purpose ministry space was added to bring the total of Destiny’s building to approximately 22,000 square feet under one roof. The newly expanded facility opened Thanksgiving weekend in 2015 and can accommodate over 700 worshippers.

  • Today

    Today, Destiny continues to make an impact with its dynamic worship style, relevant preaching, and Kingdom focus.

Destiny Christian Academy

Childcare Centers

In line with the church’s mission to love others and serve the world, Destiny purchased two free-standing childcare centers in 2017 and 2019 to complement the childcare ministry already operating on the church campus since 2013. These locations continue to serve the childcare needs of families in Muncie and Yorktown.

Church Planting

Make Room for Growth

Church planting is the fastest and most efficient way to reach new people with the gospel.


Beginning in 2026, Destiny will train teams and plant one church every 2 years with the vision to plant a kingdom church in each county of East Central Indiana.

Commitment Guide

Our Make Room Capital Campaign is a collective effort where everyone’s participation matters. To reach our minimum congregational goal of $1.5M, we have structured giving levels that allow each member of our congregation to contribute in a meaningful way over a 3-year pledge period.


This guide outlines different commitment levels with suggested annual, monthly, and total 3-year giving amounts. Based on our 500-member congregation, we have estimated how many people at each level would be needed to successfully fund this vision.
