Worship Team Auditions

Our worship team exists to encourage authentic times of worship at Destiny. Team members offer their musical talent, technical skills and spiritual gifts to lead people into both personal and corporate worship experiences.

Thank you for taking the time to look into becoming a part of the Worship ministry at Destiny Christian Center! The Worship Arts Ministries at Destiny are diverse communities of artists committed to using the ministries of music, dance, singing, visual arts, technical arts, and production to create experiences where all people are inspired to worship God.

Auditions are necessary for the following roles: Praise Team Singers, Soloists, and Band.

Let's Get Started

We have tried to make this process as quick and simple as possible while getting all of the information we need to help you find your place in ministry. Before you begin the audition process, please take the time to read the following instructions carefully.

Step 1: Submit a written testimony

We'd love to hear your personal testimony of salvation. In this step, be prepared to type and share a little about your life before your salvation, how you were saved, if you’ve been baptized, and what your life is like now. Please fill out your name, cell phone number & email address and type your testimony in the form HERE.

You will be directed to the same form in Step 3. It is ok to wait to upload all items at once or to submit separate forms for each upload.
Step 2: Practice Your Part
Prepare to sing or play the first verse and chorus of the song, Lord You Are Good. Click the links below to download the tracks.
- Track with Background Vocals (for audition)
For vocalists, please sing the melody in the first verse and chorus. Then, when the track counts you in for another chorus, sing a harmony of your choosing (soprano, alto, tenor) If your chosen part is the melody, please sing the harmony part higher or lower according to your voice tone. For instrumentalists, you will need to contact Bishop Keith Directly, HERE.

Step 3: Record & Upload Audition

It’s time to record! Video record yourself with one device while your accompaniment track plays on another device. Record yourself with your voice and accompaniment track being clearly heard and yourself being clearly seen. We are looking for mainly two things: how your sound might fit into our ministry and how your stage presence might help lead others in our congregation.

When finished, save and upload your video HERE. Be sure to state your name and harmony part you will be singing. If you have already uploaded a file in step 1, it is ok to fill out a 2nd form for the audition file.
Step 4: Let Us Know You're Done

Shoot us an email at worship@destinylive.us with your name in the subject line and let us know you have finished the process!
Step 5: All Done. Wait for our reply

Congratulations! You have finished the audition. You will receive one of three follow-up responses:
1. We currently don’t have a place on our praise team or band that fits your gifts/abilities.
2. We would love for you to work on a few things and re-audition in 6 months. Here are some tools to help you grow in your gifting.
3. We would like to set up a face-to-face meeting to see how you can plug into the worship ministry more deeply.
